Was Ovidiu really as sad as his poems shows? How anyone can live with such a shadowed soul? We think otherwise.

Most likely he enjoyed every moment. The endless sea, the morning breeze, Dobrogea fine wines, the women with spice taste, the flavoured food. Ovidiu could not have survived on our lands without knowing happiness.

And as he was the first “depicter in lines” of our lands we have decided that our philosophy to be praise to Ovidiu. Only we chose a different way of expression. He used the lines we try our hand with dough and special recipes.

To be more precisely, pastry.

Poetry in pastry means creativity and ingenuity, it means that we are spontaneous, and our help will be a pleasant surprise for you.

How long it will take us to reach Ovidiu' s level of expression? As soon as possible we hope, but the direction counts. We think a good cake is just like a poem that soothes our soul.

They are both a thing of joy.

About Ovidiu

At the beginning of our era, the Romans who then dominated the entire world were subjugated by the lines of a poet whose work would last over the years and still live in the readers' hearts. Because besides Ovidiu's poetry, the one known to the Romans as Publius Ovidius Naso, only the great epics of Homer and Vergilius have their place in the world literature and libraries of the nowadays readers.
Ovidiu, the author of Tristia, Epistulae ex Ponto and Metamorphoses is not only a poet of the world and of the human feelings, but also our poet, the first praiser of the Romanian land where he lived for so many years, banished in Dobrogea, at Tomis. But if his talent, otherwise recognized by his contemporary Romans did not save him from being banished, then would not the exile leave a mark on his talent as one can see in Tristia and Epistulae ex Ponto written at Tomis.
And if the places you reach, even by hazard, leave a mark on you so that you want to depict them in your writings, the people and their way of life, then you are certainly the poet of those lands. It is Ovidiu's case, the first depicter in lines of Dobrogea.
And if your destiny completes on these lands too, where you shall also find your eternal peace we can say it once more: Ovidiu is our poet.
